Lié Studio ApS (hereinafter "LIÉ STUDIO”, "we," "us") is committed to protecting the privacy and security when processing your personal data. This privacy policy describes how we collect and process your personal data.

This privacy policy is intended for any former, current or potential customer, supplier and user of a product offered by us, or just any visitor to the website (hereinafter referred to as “you”).

It is important that you read this privacy policy, so you are aware of how and why we are processing your data and what your rights are under the relevant data protection legislation.

1. Data controller
LIÉ STUDIO is responsible for the processing of personal data we have obtained from you or about you and making sure it’s processed in accordance with the data protection legislation. In accordance with the applicable regulations on the protection of personal data, LIÉ STUDIO is the "data controller".

We request that, in connection with inquiries regarding your rights as described in section 6, you provide us with sufficient information to process your inquiry, including your full name and email address, so that we can identify you and respond to your inquiry.

 

2. LIÉ STUDIO as data processor

In certain cases, LIÉ STUDIO acts as a data processor on behalf of third parties. In cases where LIÉ STUDIO is the data processor, LIÉ STUDIO acts according to the instructions of the data controller and in accordance with a data processing agreement. In these cases, this privacy policy does not apply to the processing.

 

 

3. Information collected, the purpose of data processing and the legal basis

LIÉ STUDIO collects personal data directly from you, from publicly available sources, or from third parties. In addition, we receive technical data relating to your visit to our website from third-party analytics providers.

 

We process personal data about you in a variety of different situations. Please read below for further details on when, how, and why we process your personal data.

 

3.1      Visitors to our website

When you visit our website, we collect and process personal data such as:

We process the data to make relevant services available to you and to improve your experience of our websites, online services, and the services we provide. In this connection, we process, or may process, data collected through cookies, log files, device identifiers, and similar technologies in order to (a) remember data so that you do not have to re-enter it during your current visit or the next time you visit the website; (b) display and provide tailored and personalized content and information; (c) monitor the effectiveness of our services; (d) analyse aggregated metrics and demographic trends; and (e) diagnose or resolve technical issues.

 

Failure to provide the requested information may impact the functionality of our website for you.

 

Processing for functional purposes, marketing purposes, and statistical purposes is based on your consent pursuant to GDPR Article 6.1.a.

 

The processing of necessary cookies is based on GDPR Article 6.1.f. (legitimate interests), where LIÉ STUDIO's legitimate interest is to ensure that the website functions properly and remains usable.

 

You can change your cookie preferences and withdraw any consent you have previously provided at any time by clicking the round icon located in the bottom left corner of your screen.

 

Data collected automatically through the website, such as IP addresses, website usage data, and cookies, is generally retained for a period of 6 to 24 months, depending on the type of cookie and the purpose of the processing. Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser, while analytics and tracking cookies may be retained for longer periods in order to provide functionality, generate statistics, and deliver personalized content.

3.2       Website chat and AI-agent

We use an AI-agent, to provide customer support and respond to inquiries submitted through the chat function on our website. When you use the chat, we may collect and process personal information that you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, telephone number, and the content of your messages. We may also collect certain technical information, such as your IP address, device information, and approximate location data.

The purpose of this processing is to communicate with you, respond to your inquiries, provide customer support, improve our services, and operate the chat functionality on our website. Chat conversations may be handled by our customer service team and/or by the Lyro AI-agent, which generates responses based on the information provided during the interaction.

We recommend that you do not share sensitive personal information through the chat.

We process personal data collected through the chat service based on our legitimate interest in providing customer support, responding to inquiries, improving our services, and facilitating communication with website visitors pursuant to GDPR Article 6.1.f. Where your inquiry relates to the purchase of products or services, or to entering into a contractual relationship with us, the processing may also be necessary for the performance of a contract or to take steps prior to entering into a contract pursuant to GDPR Article 6.1.b.

3.3      Newsletters and participation in contests

We use personal data for marketing purposes, hereinunder to target it specifically for the individual person. This includes sending newsletters and presenting relevant marketing to you on our website as well as other websites and social media.

 

When you receive marketing material from us or participate in our contests, we process information such as your name, phone number, email address, and product interests. We also process information about your preferences regarding marketing or communication, as well as your use of the marketing materials we send to you and any other information you provide to us.

 

We process your information for the purpose of marketing our company and its products, creating and managing your subscription to marketing materials, as well as administering contests, winner selection, and identification, etc. We use the information about your preferences and behaviour to understand how our customers receive our marketing materials and to improve future marketing efforts for you and our other customers. We also use data about you to show you content on our and others' pages based on your activities and preferences, and to limit the number of times you see the same content, as well as to measure the effectiveness of our content and marketing efforts.

 

We only send marketing material to you via email when we have obtained your consent to do so. 

 

Our legal basis for processing your personal data is your consent pursuant to GDPR Article 6.1.a and the Danish Marketing Act § 10. You may withdraw your consent at any time, cf. GDPR Article 7.3, by unsubscribing from the newsletter through the “Unsubscribe” link included at the bottom of each newsletter. Upon withdrawal of your consent, your personal data will be deleted unless we have another legal basis that allows us to continue processing the personal data.

 

Personal data related to newsletters and similar marketing communications is retained for as long as you are subscribed to our newsletters. Upon unsubscribing, such personal data will be deleted. However, information relating to your consent, including documentation of when and how the consent was provided and, where applicable, withdrawn, will be retained for up to 2 years thereafter in order to document the consent given. This retention period is based on LIÉ STUDIO’s legitimate interest in being able to demonstrate that direct marketing has been conducted in compliance with applicable legislation.

 

3.4      Customers and potential customers

When you are a customer or potential customer of LIÉ STUDIO or a contact person at one of our customers or potential customers, we process persona data such as:

  • Identity/company information, such as your full name and/or company name
  • Contact information, including your email address, phone number, and (company) address
  • Job title
  • Financial information, such as bank account details, payment transaction details, expenses, invoices, and VAT number (where applicable)
  • Information obtained from publicly available sources, where relevant
  • Other information that you provide to our customer service voluntarily

We process the above personal data for the purpose of fulfilling our agreements with customers, including delivering our product(s) based on the customers order(s), issue invoices, prepare statistics, and ensure quality. In addition, the information is used to maintain our customer records and to provide general customer service, marketing, and sales to our customers and potential customers.

Due to the purpose of the individual order/agreement, customers are required to provide the above personal data. If a customer does not wish to provide such information, it may not be possible to conclude and/or deliver the order, and there is a risk that we will be unable to provide our services. 

The legal basis for the processing of your personal data is either the performance of an agreement with you, including communication relating to the agreement, pursuant to GDPR Article 6.1.b, or our legitimate interests pursuant to GDPR Article 6.1.f, where the processing is necessary, for example, to manage customer relationship and improve our services and products.

Information collected in connection with the development of existing or potential client relationships is retained for as long as it remains relevant to the existing or prospective client relationship.

Personal data included in accounting records is retained for five years from the end of the financial year, after which the data is deleted. The retention period is established based on the retention requirements of Section 10 of the Danish Bookkeeping Act and is therefore intended to comply with applicable legislation. 

 

3.5      Partners and/or suppliers

When you are a partner or supplier of LIÉ STUDIO or a contact person at one of our partners or suppliers, we process persona data such as:

  • Identity/company information, such as your full name and/or company name
  • Contact information, including your email address, phone number, and (company) address
  •  Job title
  •  Financial information, such as bank account details, payment transaction details, expenses, invoices, and VAT number (where applicable)
  • Information obtained from publicly available sources, where relevant
  • Other information that you provide to us voluntarily 

We process this information for contract management, to receive goods and services from our suppliers and partners, and, where applicable, to fulfill agreements with our customers. 

Due to the purpose of the individual agreement, it is therefore a requirement that the abovementioned parties provide the personal data specified above. If the party does not wish to provide this information, the agreement may not or may only partially be finalized, and in some cases, payment may not be processed.

The legal basis for the processing of your personal data is either the performance of a contract with you pursuant to GDPR Article 6.1.b, or our legitimate interests in operating and managing our business pursuant to GDPR Article 6.1.f. 

Information collected in connection with a business relationship or supplier relationship is retained for as long as it remains relevant to the existing business relationship or supplier relationship.

Personal data included in accounting records is retained for five years from the end of the financial year, after which the data is deleted. The retention period is established based on the retention requirements of Section 10 of the Danish Bookkeeping Act and is therefore intended to comply with applicable legislation. 

3.6      Job application and job agent

If you apply for a job with LIÉ STUDIO, we register the information you provide to us, such as your address, phone number, email address, photographs, application and CV, in order to assess whether you match a current position within our company.

 

If you choose not to provide the requested information, we will not be able to process your application for the position, as the information is necessary for us to assess your suitability for the role.

 

If you sign up for our job agent, we register the information you provide, including your job preferences, name, and email address, in order to send you relevant job postings.

 

If you do not provide the requested information, you will not be able to sign up for our job agent and receive automatic notifications about vacant positions that match your profile.

 

Our legal basis for processing your personal data is our legitimate interest in managing recruitment, assessing applicants for vacant positions, and sending relevant job postings to individuals who have signed up for our job agent, pursuant to GDPR Article 6.1.f.

 

We retain the information received in connection with job applications for up to six months from the date of receipt.

 

The information provided in connection with the job agent is retained for as long as you remain subscribed to the job agent and is deleted immediately upon unsubscription. You may unsubscribe at any time via the link included in emails sent by the job agent.

 

If you participate in a recruitment process and/or are hired for the position, we will provide you with separate information regarding how we process your personal data in this connection.

 

3.7      Miscellaneous

In connection with LIÉ STUDIO’s development, the company structure may change, for example, through a complete or partial sale of the business. In the event of a partial transfer of assets that include personal data, the legal basis for the associated disclosure of personal data is primarily GDPR Article 6.1.f., as LIÉ STUDIO has a legitimate interest in transferring parts of its assets and making commercial changes.

Personal data that we have collected for the purposes described in the other points of section 3 may also be processed to comply with laws and regulations to which we are subject in connection with the operation of our business, or to fulfill various reporting or disclosure obligations under applicable laws and regulations, cf. GDPR Article 6.1.c.

 

We are required to retain all accounting records in accordance with the Danish Bookkeeping Act for a period of time. This means that we store orders, invoices and similar documents for accounting purposes. These records may contain personal data such as name, address, and service description.

4. Disclosure of personal data

We disclose personal data within our affiliated companies, to our partners and third-party service providers, and in accordance with applicable law. Our third-party service providers are not permitted to share or process personal data that we make available to them for any purpose other than providing services to us.

We share your information with the following categories of recipients for the purposes set out in this policy:

  • employees and companies within our group,
  • third parties that support the operation of our website and the delivery of our products and services (such as payment service providers, shipping and logistics providers, IT and hosting providers, customer support providers, and marketing partners),
  • third parties where we are required or permitted to disclose your personal data under applicable law (e.g. public authorities, courts, and other law enforcement authorities),
  • third parties in connection with, or as part of, any sale, merger, acquisition, reorganisation, joint venture, assignment, transfer or other disposal of all or part of our business, assets or shares (including in connection with bankruptcy or similar proceedings), in which case we may disclose your personal data to prospective purchasers, sellers, advisers or partners, and your information may constitute a transferred asset in a business transaction,
  • third parties where reasonably necessary to protect our rights, customers, systems, and services (e.g. legal advisers, auditors, insurance companies, and information security experts),

In order to achieve the purposes described in this policy, we may share your personal data with our processors for the purpose of necessary processing on behalf of LIÉ STUDIO, for example in connection with marketing activities.

In some cases, we might transfer your personal data to third parties in countries outside the EU/EEA, where necessary. 
 
Transfer of personal data to third countries takes place within the framework of chapter 5 in the General Data Protection Regulation, meaning that such transfers will only happen: 

  • towards third countries, one or more specific sectors within a third country, or international organizations for which the European Commission deems that an adequate level of protection of personal data is in place; or 
  • if the recipient of the data obtained an appropriate certification or adhered to a specific code of conduct ensuring that the processing of personal data is appropriate and equal to those provided under EU law; or 
  • if the recipient implemented appropriate standard contractual clauses, prepared by the European Commission or prepared by the national Data Protection Agency and approved by the European Commission. 
  • in accordance with Article 49.1.b-e.

 5. Security and storage of your personal data

We store your information securely and in accordance with the provisions of applicable legislation for the purposes described above.

Access to your personal data is restricted to employees, agents and other third parties who have a strict business need to know such information.

We only retain your information for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected or to comply with contractual, legal, accounting or reporting obligations, as well as the retention periods prescribed by applicable legislation. Accordingly, we anonymise and/or delete your personal data when it is no longer required to achieve the purpose for which it was collected.

LIÉ STUDIO has implemented technical and organisational measures to protect our processing of personal data against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, and unauthorised disclosure or access. This includes the implementation of both physical and technical safeguards, including access controls, video surveillance, passwords, and encryption, as well as regular data backups. LIÉ STUDIO’s employees are instructed on how personal data may be processed, and internal procedures have been adopted setting out the actions to be taken in the event of a personal data breach.

 

6. Your rights

 

According to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the relevant data protection law you are entitled to exercise the rights as applicable to the specific processing situation. If you wish to exercise your rights, please contact us.

Your rights include the following:

  • The right to request access to your personal data: You have the right to access the personal data we process about you.
  • The right to rectify your personal data: You have the right to have incorrect personal data about you rectified and incomplete personal data completed.
  • The right to erasure of your personal data: In certain circumstances, you have the right to have personal data about you deleted before the time we normally delete your information.
  • The right to restriction of processing: In certain circumstances, you have the right to restrict the processing of your personal data. If you have the right to restrict processing, we may only process the data - except for storage - with your consent, or for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims, or to protect a person or important public interests.
  • The right to data portability: In certain circumstances, you have the right to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format, and to have these personal data transferred from one data controller to another.
  • The right to object against the processing of your personal data: In certain circumstances, you have the right to object to our processing of your personal data, and always if the processing is for direct marketing purposes. 

If the processing is based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. This can be done by contacting us at the above email address. Withdrawal of your consent will not have any negative impact. However, it may mean that we can no longer fulfill specific requests from you in the future. Withdrawal of your consent will not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal. Furthermore, it will not affect any processing carried out on another legal basis.

You have the right to file a complaint with the competent supervisory authority, which in Denmark is “The Danish Data Protection Authority” (Datatilsynet). More information can be found here: www.datatilsynet.dk  

7. Links to other websites and social media

On our website, there are links to other websites or to integrated websites. LIÉ STUDIO is not responsible for the content of other companies' websites or for their practices regarding the collection of personal data.

When you visit other websites, you should always read the website’s privacy policy and other relevant policies.

At the bottom of our website, you will find a link that directly references to LIÉ STUDIO’s profiles on the respective platforms, specifically Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram.

Please be aware that when you use this link, your data, including cookies and search history, may be shared with the respective platform provider. For example, if you use the link for direct access to LIÉ STUDIO’s Instagram profile, your data will be shared with Meta, the provider of Instagram. Note that these providers are considered independent data controllers. This means that LIÉ STUDIO does not have authority over the data processed by these providers.
