01. General Remarks

1.1 This website is owned and operated by Lié Studio ApS, Aaboulevarden 52, 2. t.v, 8000, Aarhus C, CVR: 42356565, a Danish limited company. These Terms and your use of the Website are construed under and governed by Danish law.
Hereinafter Lié Studio ApS will simply be referred to as “LIÉ STUDIO”. Any reference to “you” or “yours” is a reference to any user of this website. Any reference to “we”, “us” or “ours” is a reference to LIÉ STUDIO.

1.2 By visiting our site and/or purchasing something from us, you engage in our “Service” and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions (“Terms of Service”, “Terms”)

1.3 If there are parts of these terms and conditions (“Terms”), that you do not understand, please contact customer service at 
hello@lie-studio.com before placing an order. We kindly ask you to accept our Terms every time you shop with us. If you cannot accept our Terms, you will not be able to place an order on this website.

1.4 You can review the most current version of the Terms of Service at any time on this page. We reserve the right to update, change or replace any part of these Terms of Service by posting updates and/or changes to our website. It is your responsibility to check this page periodically for changes. Your continued use of or access to the website following the posting of any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.

02. Pricing

2.1 Prices for our products are subject to change without notice. 
We reserve the right at any time to modify or discontinue the Service (or any part or content thereof) without notice at any time. We shall not be liable to you or to any third-party for any modification, price change, suspension or discontinuance of the Service. 

2.2 The prices on the Website are shown in Danish kroner (DKK), Euro (EUR), Pound sterling (GBP) US Dollar (USD) or Korean Won (KRW), depending on where you are visiting from.

2.3 All specified prices on our website are including VAT and excluding shipping fees within the EU. If you are located outside the EU, you may be subject to import taxes and duties, that you will be required to pay. We refer to section 3 for duty delivery paid in selected territories outside the EU. 

Please note that local import duties vary by country and region. These taxes are to be paid by you as a customer. If you reject the parcel due to local duties, the parcel will automatically be returned to LIÉ-STUDIO. These fees or charges are excluded from LIÉ STUDIO’s responsibility, as LIÉ STUDIO has no control over additional fees and duties related to customs clearance. If you are residing outside of the EU, you may need to inquire at your local post office or customs authority for more information regarding any import duties or taxes that could affect your online purchase.

 

03. Customs & Duties in Selected Territories

3.1 United Kingdom: Orders to the United Kingdom will be sent with taxes and import duties paid. Therefore, no further import duty or tax will be payable after the order has been placed on lie-studio.co.uk

3.2 United States: Orders to the US will be sent with taxes and import duties paid. Therefore, no further import duty or tax will be payable after the order has been placed on lie-studio.com

 

04. Gift Certificates

4.1 We offer the opportunity to purchase gift certificates for use on lie-studio.com. All gift certificates are managed under these Terms. Please note that our gift certificates don’t have an expiry date.

4.2 The gift card can be used to pay for all or part of your total order. If the value of the gift card does not cover the total amount of the desired order, the difference in the order can be paid using the other accepted payment methods listed below in section 05. The gift card is sent electronically and can be used immediately after purchase.

 

05. Terms of Payment

5.1 We accept the following payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, American Express, UnionPay, Shop Pay, MobilePay, Apple Pay, Google Pay & PayPal.

5.2 Upon receiving your order, we will reserve the amount on your card. The funds will only be debited once the goods are shipped from our warehouse.

Pre-orders for sunglasses placed from May 20 are expected to ship within the first week of June 2026.

Please note that shipment dates are estimated and may be subject to minor delays due to production or logistics circumstances beyond our control. Customers will be notified of any significant changes to the expected shipping timeline.

Payment is processed at the time the pre-order is placed. If an order contains both pre-order and available items, the entire order will be dispatched once all items are available for shipment, unless otherwise stated.

 

06. Delivery & Shipping

6.1 LIÉ STUDIO sends packages with GLS in Denmark and FedEx, UPS or DHL to all international destinations. All shipments are insured, and Track&Trace information is emailed to you upon dispatch.

Expected time for delivery depends on the country of delivery but please expect 1-3 business days for express services and 2-5 business days for standard services. In some cases, shipping can be 8-10 business days. Shipping times are an estimate, and LIÉ STUDIO accepts no responsibility for delays in customs processes outside the EU. 

6.2 The shipping prices may vary and are shown during check-out on lie-studio.com and are added with every order.

6.3 Items available for pre-order will ship on the estimated dispatch date noted on the product page. Payment is processed at the time the pre-order is placed. If an order contains both pre-order and available items, the entire order will be dispatched once all items are available for shipment, unless otherwise stated.


07. Exchange of products

7.1  We offer exchanges both in-store and online.

7.2 In-store exchanges can be made at our store on Vognmagergade 9, Copenhagen, where we accept both size and product exchanges. Please bring your order confirmation or receipt. You can check opening hours here.

7.3 Online exchanges are available through our Return Portal. We offer both size and product exchanges.

 

08. Returns

8.1 You have the right to cancel your purchase without justification within 14 calendar days from the date you received the product(s). The cancellation deadline is met if you submit a return request via our Return Portal before the deadline and ship the product(s) without unreasonable delay after your return request has been approved.

8.2 All returns - including exchanges, claims, and refunds - must be initiated through our Return Portal. Once your request has been approved, you will receive a return shipping label and return slip. Products must be returned in their original packaging and in the same condition as received. Items that are clearly used will not be eligible for return or refund. You are responsible for the parcel until it is received by LIÉ STUDIO, so please ensure the item is securely packaged.

8.3 To exercise your right to cancel your order and return your products, you may also use the standard cancellation form provided by danish law, which is available here, but it is not mandatory. 

8.4 For customers returning items from outside the EU, a commercial return invoice must be attached to your shipment. This invoice will be provided to you through the Return Portal upon approval of your return.

8.5 The cost of return shipping is borne by the customer unless otherwise stated in the Return Portal based on your location or the reason for return. The return fee is shown when you select your return shipping method. We do not charge return fees for approved claims.

8.6 If your item is damaged or faulty, please upload a description and photos when submitting your return request or contact us at hello@lie-studio.com with your order number and images showing the issue.

8.7 We will refund the payment received from you, excluding the initial shipping cost (unless it’s a claim), within 14 business days of receiving the returned item(s). The refund will be made to the original payment method, unless otherwise agreed.

8.8 We do not accept returns or claims for LIÉ STUDIO products purchased from other retailers or second-hand platforms.

8.9 Gift sets, whether pre-made or custom-created, are not eligible for return or exchange through Lié Studio’s Return Portal. Any request must be handled directly via Customer Service by contacting hello@lie-studio.com. Returns must comply with LIÉ STUDIO's general return conditions and be initiated within the standard return window.

 

9. Faulty and /or Incorrect Product

9.1 If you believe your product is faulty or if you have received the wrong item, please submit a return request through our Return Portal and include a description and photographs of the issue. Alternatively, you can contact our customer service at hello@lie-studio.com with your order number and supporting images. We will assess the issue and, if approved, offer a replacement, refund, or other appropriate solution. No return shipping fees apply to approved claims.

9.2 If you can clearly identify damage or defect upon delivery, you should refuse to accept the parcel from the carrier and notify us immediately at hello@lie-studio.com.

 

10. Warranty

10.1 A 2-year warranty is provided in accordance with the Sale of Goods Act. Our warranty covers defects in material and/or manufacture, encompassing manufacturing and material flaws identified during the product's normal use. The warranty does not cover errors, damages, or wear directly or indirectly resulting from incorrect use, poor maintenance, as well as natural acidity in the skin. Claims regarding defects must be communicated to LIÉ STUDIO within a reasonable timeframe.

You can have the product exchanged, receive a refund, or a price reduction, depending on the specific situation. In connection with warranty cases, LIÉ STUDIO covers return costs to a reasonable extent.

 

11. Data Privacy & Cookies

11.1 When ordering from lie-studio.com, we will collect personal data regarding billing and shipping to fulfill the purchase agreement.

11.2 The Website uses cookies for the purpose of optimizing the website, marketing and its functionality. For more information, please visit our Cookie Policy.

 

12. Complaints

12.1 If you want to make a complaint about your purchase or LIÉ STUDIO’s procedures, you are welcome to contact us at hello@lie-studio.com. Please give us full details including your order reference number as well as your full name and contact details.

12.2 In the event that no resolution can be reached regarding your claim, you may pursue the following options for lodging a complaint:

12.2.1 You can submit a complaint about a product to the Danish Consumer Complaints Board, Nævnenes Hus, Mediation Team for Consumer Complaints, Toldboden 2, 8800 Viborg, via the Complaint Portal for Nævnenes Hus. The Mediation Team will attempt to resolve the dispute through mediation. If no resolution is reached, you may bring the complaint before the Consumer Complaints Board. As a general rule, lodging a complaint is contingent upon the condition that the product in question must have had a purchase price of no less than DKK 1,110 and no more than DKK 100,000. A fee is required to have your complaint processed.

13. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

13.1 The laws of the Kingdom of Denmark shall apply to all parties of these Terms.

13.2 For clients in the EU the exclusive venue for jurisdiction for all disputes arising from these general terms and conditions shall be Aarhus, Denmark.
