Italian Restaurant in Hackney. Worth the trip no matter where you are staying in London!

Layla Bakery

Layla Bakery in Notting Hill is a great spot for coffee and baked goods. Enjoy a sweet or savoury snack outside on their benches while you watch the crowds passing by on Portobello road.

The River Café

The iconic River Café, located right by the Thames, is on the pricier side, but the meal is wonderful - and the atmosphere and crowd make it ideal for either lunch or dinner. The homemade ice cream is a must!

The Pelican, along with its sister restaurant, The Hero, is a favorite spot for an afternoon beer, and the food, especially the pie, makes it even better.

Far out east, you’ll find Leo’s - a lovely all-day restaurant and bar. The backroom by the kitchen is beautiful, and a meal here is well worth the trip from central London.

You can find St. John’s in various locations around the city – a no-fuss restaurant that’s been around for many years. Simple, very tasty dishes make it perfect for a long lunch. The original location on St. John Street is especially worth visiting, where the lively lunch crowd is as entertaining to watch as the food is to enjoy.

Shreeji on Chiltern Street is perfect for a quick coffee and a newspaper while watching the world go by.
